24 hour sponsored shoot

What a fantastic effort from so many of our archers during our 24 hour shoot relay. Michelle our organiser shot during every single hour of the challenge whilst other members took shifts and everyone did their best to gather sponsorship money in aid of Alder Hey.

A message from Michelle following the event:

Now we have recovered from our 24 hour marathon, I just wanted to say a huge Thank You to everyone who shot, supported, donated, cheered us on, provided goodies to keep us going and all of the enthusiasm that went into making our 2026 fund raiser such a success.

Alder Hey have been in touch with us and I have attached their letter and certificate for you to read through to see what a difference our event will make for the children in their care.

Just as a side line, here are some fun facts from our 24 hours of shooting

TOTAL £1185 raised    plus £260 in Gift Aid

 ·       26 senior archers

·       5 junior archers

·       3078 arrows shot

·       13221 scored

·       39 rounds (31 Portsmouth, 2 Bray, 3 Vegas 300, 2 WA18, 1 Worcester)

·       11.43 miles were walked

and a few muscles ached for a few days after too!

It really was wonderful to see everyone pull together to make this such a success and I can't thank you enough.
